Promoting Alabama as the

development and application
of modeling and simulation

About the Alabama Modeling &
Simulation Council (AMSC)

The Alabama Modeling and Simulation Council (AMSC) was formed to help establish and promote Alabama as a center-of-excellence and world leader in modeling and simulation (M&S). Our goals are to serve the regional, national, and international (M&S) communities; provide opportunities to learn about relevant research results, on-going projects, and vendor products; and create opportunities for members to engage and network with fellow M&S professionals.

The AMSC has a rich legacy that springs from the Huntsville Simulation Conferences (HSC) and the earlier Southeastern Simulation Conference. The AMSC continues this legacy through the AlaSim International series of conferences that began in 2012. The AlaSim conference not only reflects the strong M&S presence in the Huntsville area, but also the combined strength of assets across the state and around the globe.

Our intent is to bring together a broad sampling of this diverse community, including government, industry, and academia members at all levels of experience to learn from each other about the exciting activities in the world of M&S.

Call for Participation

The AlaSim Committee is calling for participation from authors, speakers, exhibitors, and sponsors for the 2018 AlaSim International Conference & Expo to be held on May 22-23 of this year. Abstracts for briefings, workshops, tutorials, and panel discussions related to in-progress, planned, and completed modeling and simulation projects of interest are being actively solicited. Abstracts are reviewed by the conference committee for inclusion in the final program. Authors are asked and expected to pre-register and present their work at the conference. Optionally, papers are now accepted in lieu of briefings submissions.
